Seattle Metals Guild
Background
Seattle Metals Guild puts on an engaging and popular annual symposium featuring top metals professionals. With the pandemic and in-person events being cancelled, SMG knew they needed to build interest and entice potential participants to an online platform at a time when many organizations were doing the same.
I studied the featured speakers’ intricate, intimate and edgy metalwork for inspiration, and created patterned graphic elements to frame the symposium content. The somber and sophisticated work called for a color palette of golds and grays. Substituting the “si” in “symposium” with the year was typographic serendipity.
